Dairy Farm Manager
Northeast Iowa, IA · ManufacturingOur client in Northeast Iowa is seeking to hire a Bilingual Dairy Manager (BDM) to manage the daily operations of the farm. The Bilingual Dairy Manager partners with team members, providing guidance and direction for the successful operations of the farm.
Housing will be provided. You will need to pay for utilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The following essential responsibilities are not all inclusive:
- Guide and support the dairy personnel to successfully operate their daily duties on the farm. This includes feed production and processing, feeding, personnel relationships, driving tractors and other farm motorized vehicles and tools, etc.
- Manage and utilize the recording of health records
- Consult with maintenance technicians about repairs and possible alternatives
- Prepare for audits according to dairy state and federal laws and regulations
- Manage inventory, organization, and cleanliness of the farm
- Professionally communicate with all members of the company and external partners and customers
- Excellent verbal and written communication in both English and Spanish
- Leads with strong emotional intelligence
- Assist with needs in the absence of employees to fulfill needs of the farm’s daily successful operations
- Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- Must maintain a valid Driver’s License
- Previous Management experience
- Veterinarian preferred (but not required)
- Previous experience with cattle
- Proficient in both Spanish & English
- Willing to drive farm equipment as needed
- Willing and eager to learn about all duties of the farm operations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Comfortable learning new computer systems
