MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist Roofing Crew: Work alongside experienced roofers to assist with various tasks, including material handling, equipment setup, and cleanup.
Material Handling: Load and unload roofing materials, tools, and equipment at the job site using proper lifting techniques and safety protocols.
Site Preparation: Prepare the work area by removing debris, clearing obstacles, and ensuring that the site is safe and accessible for roofing activities.
Equipment Operation: Operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment as directed by the roofing crew, following all safety guidelines and manufacturer instructions.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures on the job site, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and fall protection gear.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to complete roofing projects efficiently and effectively.
Quality Assurance: Assist with quality control inspections to ensure that roofing installations meet industry standards and client expectations.
Cleanup: Maintain a clean and organized work environment by collecting and disposing of debris, excess materials, and waste throughout the project.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working at heights.
Reliability: Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks accurately and efficiently.
Safety Awareness: Knowledge of basic safety practices and procedures in a construction environment, with a focus on preventing accidents and injuries.
Team Player: Willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team, taking direction from supervisors and supporting coworkers as needed.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work conditions, including outdoor work in various weather conditions.
Experience: Previous experience in construction or roofing is preferred but not required. Willingness to learn and develop new skills on the job is essential.
